Martinez

The Grace Episcopal Church residential complex is located in Martinez, CA in the middle of beautiful mountains of Northen California. This apartment complex features 60 units of affordable housing for veterans. We took the approach of this project with the purpose of creating a senior affordable complex which is functional, balanced, and pleasant for both the emotional and practical use of the senior residence. We were determined to create an affordable space that does not sacrifice quality or aesthetic appeal suggesting a Spanish architectural style were removing the boundaries between nature and urban life where blends to the surrounding architectures. The amenities include community gardens leading to more leisure time and better quality of life. The design strategy for these developments creates new spaces withing the city while tackling many existing current issues in the housing market such as commuting.
