Anaheim Fire Station pairs a strong industrial character with refined, hospitality-driven spaces, creating an environment that supports gathering, collaboration, and everyday use with a distinctly fire-service identity.
The interior is grounded in a restrained palette of matte black, exposed steel, polished concrete, brick, and corrugated metal. A dramatic communal bar anchors the main gathering space with black stone surfaces, integrated lighting, warm wood shelving, and an illuminated brick backdrop. The composition feels durable and utilitarian while still offering the warmth and detail of a carefully designed social space.
Throughout the project, functional areas are elevated through custom architectural moments. The conference room is organized around a large graphic table that reinforces Anaheim Firefighters identity, while a black steel mezzanine introduces an upper-level recreation zone overlooking the main floor. Open ceilings, visible ductwork, pendant lighting, and industrial finishes preserve the scale and honesty of the building, while warm wood, accent lighting, and fire-service artifacts add character and familiarity.
Industrial materials, bold contrast, and purpose-built gathering spaces give Anaheim Fire Station a strong civic identity with a refined contemporary edge.
