Craig Gambill

MANAGING PRINCIPAL

Craig Gambill was raised in the architecturally rich area of Santa Barbara, California.  It was there he developed his passion for architecture and the built environment.  He went on to attend California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1993 and obtaining his California Architects License in 1997.

As the Managing Principal of SDK, Craig supervises all the office operations and ensures that each project remains on time and on budget by enforcing project deadlines and coordinating communications between all parties. He is responsible for elevating the firm’s architecture practice and collaborates with professionals across all the firm’s global locations to establish standards and ensure consistency across integrated design teams. His hands-on involvement runs from conceptual design through completion of construction and post-occupancy. Craig is a powerful advocate for the rich, multi-valued impact of good design. As an architect, planner, and urban designer, he works closely with our integrated design teams to deliver complex master planning, urban design, and large-scale redevelopment solutions for clients nationwide. The experience he brings from his years in the industry allows him to tackle new challenges and provide unique and intriguing design solutions.
